Ben
Director
Senior Behaviour Support PractitionerBen is a Behaviour Practitioner and Director at Lucid Minds Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), leading person-centred, evidence-informed behaviour support that enhances quality of life and promotes positive outcomes for individuals, families and organisations. His practice is grounded in dignity, safety and respect, with a strong focus on understanding behaviour as communication and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.
He is a MANDT System Instructor and Partner with Praxis Partners Australia, delivering the internationally recognised Mandt System across Australia through Praxis Training Solutions. The Mandt System aligns closely with Positive Behaviour Support, emphasising relational practice, trauma-informed approaches, conflict prevention and de-escalation skills to build safer workplaces and communities.
He is also a founding member of All Access Motorsport, a not-for-profit initiative committed to increasing accessibility and inclusion in motorsport for people of all abilities, helping remove barriers and create genuine opportunities for participation at grassroots and professional levels.
Outside of work, he enjoys car racing, spending time with his young family, and training his service dog, Lenny, whenever time allows for balance. These interests reflect his values of discipline, patience, connection, and inclusion beyond professional practice settings.

Nicole
Clinical Service Manager
Behaviour Support PractitionerNicole is a Senior Forensic and Mental Health Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience supporting individuals with complex presentations and multiple diagnoses. She has worked across secure mental health hospitals, community behaviour support services, psychology roles, SEN schools, and disability support, providing specialist support to both children and adults.
Nicole specialises in supporting individuals who experience high levels of aggression, sexualised behaviours of concern, and psychosis‑related mental health conditions. She integrates Positive Behaviour Support with trauma‑informed care, forensic formulation, and therapeutic strategies to ensure her practice remains respectful, evidence‑informed, and tailored to individual needs.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counselling, a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, and further training in CBT, DBT, and multiple physical restraint methodologies. Nicole is also a qualified Trainer of Trainers in physical restraint and provides specialist training in sexuality and relationships for people with disabilities.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys surfing, walking her dog, reading, baking, and spending quality time with family and friends, activities that support her wellbeing and reflect the balanced approach she brings to her professional practice.

Ashleigh
Administration Manager
Ashleigh comes from an extensive medical background, where she has developed a strong and well-rounded skill set both clinically and compassionately. Her experience has equipped her with the ability to support individuals with complex needs while maintaining a calm, empathetic, and person-centred approach. Ashleigh is deeply committed to ensuring those she supports feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for in every interaction.
Ashleigh is a devoted wife and mother to two daughters and shares her home with her husband and their two much-loved French Bulldogs, who bring constant joy and laughter to family life. Outside of work, Ashleigh enjoys camping, hiking, and exploring new places, valuing time spent outdoors and creating meaningful memories with her family. The beach is her happy place, providing space to unwind, reset, and recharge. She also lives and breathes rugby league, embracing the values of teamwork, resilience, and dedication that the sport represents.
Professionally, Ashleigh brings high-level experience in human resources and management, supporting strong leadership, effective communication, and ethical decision-making. She demonstrates unwavering dedication to her work and participants, consistently striving to deliver high-quality, reliable, and compassionate support. Her practice is guided by integrity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for making a positive and lasting impact.

Ellie
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Ellie is a calm, kind and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner, who is dedicated to providing quality person-centred support. She has experience across varying and complex needs including neurodevelopmental differences, personality disorders, complex PTSD, acquired brain injuries, psychotic disorders, mood disturbances, and eating disorders, working with clients from childhood through to older adulthood.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Science (Honours), Ellie has developed a deep understanding of human behaviour and associated cognitive processes, along with skills in assessment, data gathering, and pattern analysis to support an evidence-informed and ethical approach.
Ellie strongly values early intervention to minimise long-term risk of harm and maintains a holistic, client-centred advocacy approach.
Ellie has a particular interest in supporting children and families with neurodevelopmental differences such as ASD, ADHD, GDD, ODD, PDA, emotional regulation challenges, and sensory processing differences, while remaining open to working across the lifespan.
Outside of work, Ellie enjoys beach trips with her dogs, camping, playing guitar, sourdough baking, and spending time with friends and family. She practices meditation, breathwork, and mindfulness, supporting her calm, patient, and gentle approach in life and her work.

Jemma
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Jemma is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong interest in mental health and complex behavioural presentations. She has experience supporting adults and families across community disability and behaviour support services, working with individuals with psychosocial disability, neurodevelopmental differences, and trauma-related difficulties.
Jemma particularly enjoys working with people who experience mental health challenges and behaviours of concern. She integrates Positive Behaviour Support with psychological formulation and trauma-informed approaches to ensure her practice remains respectful, person-centred, and evidence-informed.
Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Criminology, and she is currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology. She draws on her education and experience to inform behavioural assessment, intervention planning, and collaborative support within complex systems.
Jemma values strengths-based practice and capacity building, with a focus on reducing restrictive practices. She works closely with individuals, families, allied health professionals, and services to achieve meaningful outcomes aligned with best-practice and NDIS frameworks.
Outside of work, Jemma enjoys baking, reading, Pilates, and spending time at the beach. She values wellbeing.

Paige
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Paige is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner and educator who believes every person deserves the opportunity to thrive. She works alongside participants, families, and support teams to create practical pathways toward a meaningful, self-directed life. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real-world experience.
With a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in School Guidance and Counselling, Paige brings a strong understanding of learning, development, and mental health. Her classroom experience shaped her ability to build relationships, stay calm in complex situations, and translate behavioural concepts into achievable steps for everyday settings.
Paige has supported children and adults with neurodevelopmental differences, psychosocial disabilities, trauma histories, and complex behaviours of concern. She is skilled in functional assessment, data-informed planning, and empowering teams so support is consistent and effective.
She is committed to early intervention, trauma-informed practice, and creating environments where people feel safe, understood, and capable. Paige partners with education teams to foster inclusive spaces that encourage independence, connection, and self-belief.
Outside work, Paige enjoys surfing, strength training, camping, traveling, and spending time in nature. She brings curiosity, grounded energy, and a sense of adventure into her practice, supporting others to live fully and confidently.

Lisa
Behaviour Support Administration
Lisa is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner with an honours degree in Psychology. She has experience across a range of mental health support roles, including facilitating recovery sessions within a psychiatric hospital, providing one-on-one online counselling, and delivering psychoeducation to young people. Through this work, Lisa supported individuals experiencing complex psychosocial challenges such as mood conditions, psychosis, forensic presentations, and complex trauma.
Lisa also worked as a research assistant for five years, contributing to a research expedition in Kenya that explored wellbeing and the impacts of climate change within a local tribe. This experience strengthened her interest in culturally responsive and holistic approaches to wellbeing. She has completed Applied Behaviour Analysis Technician training in Vietnam, where she supported children on the autism spectrum. Across her roles, Lisa works closely with clients and families to ensure support remains ethical, collaborative, and genuinely person-centred.
Lisa brings a calm, compassionate, strengths-based approach, with a strong focus on building safe relationships and meaningful outcomes. She has a deep interest in holistic wellbeing and trauma-informed practice. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys surfing, hiking, travelling, reading wellbeing books, and spending time with loved ones regularly.

Billy
Billy is a Behaviour Support Practitioner based on the Sunshine Coast, with a strong background in psychology, peer support, and community-based disability services.
Holding a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), Billy brings clinical insight and practical experience to his work. His professional journey includes extensive experience within the NDIS sector, supporting individuals with psychosocial disability, complex mental health presentations, and diverse behavioural needs. He has worked closely with all NDIS supports to implement person-centred, evidence-informed behaviour support strategies that promote dignity, safety, and quality of life.
Billy is passionate about reducing restrictive practices and empowering individuals to build meaningful skills, independence, and confidence. His approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in genuine connection. He believes behaviour is communication and works collaboratively to understand the “why” behind behaviours while building practical, sustainable supports around the person.
Outside work Billy enjoys cooking, staying active at the gym, playing basketball, spending time at the beach, gaming, watching films, and enjoying coffee. He also values time with his wife and their dog, Obi.
Billy brings warmth, structure, and authenticity to his work, creating environments where individuals feel heard, respected, and supported to thrive.

Lenny
Therapy Dog
Meet Lenny, our much-loved Labradoodle therapy dog, born in April 2025 and already winning hearts wherever he goes. Lenny is currently completing his therapy training through Therapy Dogs Australia and is proudly exceeding expectations with flying colours. He has already completed five intensive training sessions and continues to build his skills, ensuring he meets the highest standards before commencing official visits. Calm, intuitive, and endlessly affectionate, Lenny has a natural ability to sense when someone needs comfort, reassurance, or simply a gentle cuddle.
Lenny’s primary owner is Ben, alongside his wife and the little humans he proudly calls his own. Growing up in a busy, loving family environment has shaped Lenny into a patient, emotionally attuned companion who is confident, adaptable, and gentle with people of all ages and abilities.
His favourite things include offering cuddles exactly when they’re needed, quietly sitting beside someone who may be having a tough day, and heading out for coffee visits where he can charm everyone he meets. If cuddles were a sport, Lenny would be a true champion.
